S*LYCKOKATTENS HONDA

This beautiful girl S*Lyckokatten’s Honda was born in Västervik at S*Lyckokatten’s Cattery. It seemed like she was waiting for us, as if she knew we were looking for a black silver blotched tabby girl. We named her ”Dior” — well, no offense to Honda bikes, but I prefer Suzuki, and our daughter wanted to call her Dior, so the decision was easy.

When Dior arrived at her new home, she was greeted by five other cats. It didn’t take long before she found her best friend in Singel. They spent their days chasing each other all over the house, and it’s a miracle nothing got broken. When it came to mealtime, she would push the other cats aside and eat until her bowl was empty.

She inherited a wonderful temperament from her mother and a beautiful profile from her father. We hoped she would grow into a lovely lady in the future.

Dior participated in a few cat shows with mixed results, and we decided to take a break from the shows. In November 2006, she had a date with a handsome male, IC S*Myselisia’s Isor, and gave birth to her first kittens in the S*NC’s Roxette litter. The three kittens turned out to be absolutely beautiful!

In November 2007, she was paired with (N)Fodnaheia’s Vineto, and together they had three lovely girls in the S*NC’s ABBA litter.

Unfortunately, Dior experienced issues with both litters, as the kittens began to lose their coats. After consulting with our veterinarian, we made the difficult decision to retire her from breeding. In February 2008, she was neutered, even though we truly believed she was an excellent breeding female who had given us wonderful kittens in both the S*NC’s Roxette and S*NC’s ABBA litters.

In early autumn 2011, she suddenly started to lose weight. The vet informed us that her kidneys had stopped functioning. On October 4th, 2011, sadly, we had to say goodbye and let her peacefully fall asleep. She will be forever missed.

When Dior got home there was five other cats who wanted to say hello. It didn´t took more than a day before she found her best friend in Singel. They were chasing each other all over the house and I can´t belive that nothing was broken to pieces. When the food was served she was pushing aside the other cats and started to eat until the bowl was empty.

She had a very nice temperament like her mother and a very nice profile after her father and we´ll hope that she will became a beautiful lady in the future.

She has been at some catshow’s with some different results and we decided to take a break from the shows. Instead she had a date in november 2006 with a nice looking guy, IC S*Myselisia’s Isor, and she got her first kittens in S*NC’s Roxette litter. The three kittens became very beautiful!

In november 2007 she and (N)Fodnaheia’s Vineto had kittens together. They had three lovley girls and the litter was called S*NC’s ABBA litter.

Because of the problems Honda got with her both litters, that the kittens started to loose their coat, and in consultation with our veterinarian we decided that she no longer will be used in breed. Instead she was neutered in february 2008, even though we think she was a very good breeding female and she gave us really nice kittens in S*NC’s Roxette litter and S*NC’s ABBA litter.

In the beginning of autumn 2011 she started to loose some weight. The vet told us that her kidneys has stopped working, and on October 4 2011 we had to let her fall asleep.
